Sri Lanka is home to eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites, six of which are part of the cultural sites and two of which are part of the natural sites, all settled in the smallest spaces. Our UNESCO round trip allows you to see all of them in just 8 days.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n This offer includes rides on an air-conditioned minibus or a limousine, a reliable English-speaking driver\/guide (or German-speaking, upon request, depending on availability), the entrance fees for the listed places we are visiting as well as overnight stays in middle class hotels including breakfast. <\/span><\/p>\n If you prefer to stay in higher- or lower-class hotels, want to skip or exchange a step of the trip or want to extent your stay for one or two nights at one of the locations, we will gladly adapt the journey to your individual needs.<\/span><\/p>\n The trip listed below starts in Colombo. Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.<\/span><\/p>\n Day 2: The next morning we will drive on to the ruined city of Polonnaruwa. We will visit the archaeological park with the remains of the Royal Palace as well as numerous Stupas and Buddha statues. Afterwards we will take you to your accommodation in Sigiriya.<\/span><\/p>\n Day 3: Early in the morning we will set off to visit the next UNESCO World Heritage Site: the Singha Giri (translated Lion Rock), on top of which the ruins of a historic rock fortress are located. Afterwards we will return to our accommodation.<\/span><\/p>\n Day 4: The next morning we will drive towards Dambulla to the cave temple, also called “Golden Temple of Dambulla”. After exploring it extensively, we will bring you to the next accommodation in Kandy.<\/span><\/p>\n Day 5: After we have visited Kandy\u2019s Temple of the Tooth in the morning, we will head into the highlands to your next accommodation in Nuwara Eliya.<\/span><\/p>\n Day 6: Early in the morning we will drive to Horton Plains National Park. It is up to you if you want to hike to World\u2019s End or just take a little walk through the breathtaking scenery. Around noon we will go to your beachside hotel in Galle.<\/span><\/p>\n Day 7: In the morning we will visit Galle Fort, a fortress and old town built by Dutchmen. After the sightseeing tour, you can relax at the beach and enjoy the sun.<\/span><\/p>\n Day 8: After another night in Galle and getting some rest, we will head into the Sinharaja Forest early in the morning of our last day.
